Positive noticed is me:
-> The design is made very plain and simple but functional. The smartphone is very comfortable to hold, as the device is coated with a thin layer of plastic. The back is roughened for a better grip.
-> The build quality is decent. It creaks or wobbles nothing. Also you have to keep a very stable feel Smartphone in hand. I could well imagine that the unit can withstand the occasional crash.
-> Color range: Basically the unit in 4 colors (black / gray, white / gray, black / red and black / yellow) is available. Amazon currently offers but only 2 colors.
-> The 4.5-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 854x480 pixels reacts quickly and makes an overall good impression. In a direct comparison with other smartphones (Moto G) colors are displayed at Y530 with a little less contrast. The maximum brightness is quite enough to even in direct sunlight to still read everything. To dispense with an HD display needs at the price of course.
-> The 1750 mAh strong battery replaceable brings the owner when fully charged relaxed throughout the day. In my test I have for about half an hour can be a YouTube video on full brightness with Wi-Fi run and during this time the battery has fallen by 12%.
-> The memory is expandable through a MicroSD card.
-> In the Huawei Y530 a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor at 1.2GHz ELT 200 in conjunction with 512 MB of RAM and an Adreno 305 graphics unit. The combination of these three components yields an amazing liquid working speed. When scrolling on websites jerky nothing even current 3D games are due to the relatively low screen resolution with low settings playable.
-> On the software side is installed Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The user can choose between two different user interfaces, the Emotion UI and the Simple UI. The Emotion UI provides Android 4.3 is in Classic View and runs very smoothly. For users who are overwhelmed by the complexity of the operating system is the simple user interface. Thus, large and legible tiles are displayed on the screen. An easy navigation on your phone is given for beginners and as the elderly.
-> With GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi (802.11 b / g / n) and 3G HSDPA (max 21 Mbit / s.) Are all important interfaces on board. LTE, the Ascend Y530 course not.
-> There is still the old standard format of the SIM card is required. If you have a micro or nanosim, have to buy an adapter.
The one negative to me:
-> The main weakness is probably the photo and video quality. In good lighting conditions (for example, day out), the quality is fine. At night it is already more difficult to shoot decent shots. Images in bright areas are often overexposed. An HDR mode is not available.
For recorded video clips, you realize that the 5 megapixel sensor is a little overwhelmed. The video quality was not good in my test videos. The front camera is ok with 0.3 megapixels and to use one or other video call for the.
-> It only 4GB of internal memory available. Of these, only 1.5 GB are free to use. Best directly order the additional MicroSD card!
-> In the test with Google Maps the positioning via GPS was somewhat inaccurate. Also, the GPS fix is relatively long. Maybe that's because of my tester.
Overall, I like the Huawei Ascend Y530 as affordable entry smartphone very well. The design is as always a matter of taste, but I personally like it because of the high robustness and good processing. The user can switch between a very simply structured user interface and the classic Android interface. Performance-wise, was able to convince the device, most applications run smoothly me. Even current 3D games are playable at low settings. Weakness of the Ascend Y530 is the photo and video quality.
However, you can not really do much wrong at the current price of about 130 Euro. The device is interesting for smartphone beginners as well as for price-conscious users. Who emphasis on more power and a better display sets should pick up the Moto G. This is currently available for about 170 Euro.
