Simple operation and poor sound via USB, better sound at moderate operation via jack

The Logilink is easy to use and provides for its reasonable price but a certain quality (well-integrated buttons, compact / stable version). The device is detected via USB under Windows 7 immediately.

The recording of the supplied software "Audacity" then works very simply. Essentially, the software is also intuitive to use. You can remove noise, intersperse effects and perform similar basic functions and save the finished work as MP3 or Wave at the end.

It could thus all be so nice if the unit is not his own or the operating noise of the cartridge would get in touch with. You probably know that: A cassette recorder or rattles and roars rattles always easy, if necessary rattles the cassette - I do not know.
However, all of 5 copied cassettes (different types, different ages, some music / partially Voice Recording) have just left a persistent chatter that could not be removed also by means of the software.

One could summarize it like this:
Very user-friendly, but really poor sound ...

Addendum:
About the mini-jack can accommodate Ratter-free! This also works with the Audacity software. For this purpose, however (the decibel (dB) value so) must be manually recording levels are greatly increased because the recording is otherwise very quiet. This type record I find impractical.
