- About the announced compatibility with Windows 7, I can only laugh, although one saves downloading an additional file (a modded .ini), but the remaining problems are still there: The game does not start or crashes sporadically to the desktop from and can no longer be opened. A black screen etc. etc. For those who have these problems in between, here are a few tips: Start in WinXP SP2 compatibility mode and as an admin, specify in Task Manager belonging to a core, add in the .ini Disable Vertex Buffer Objects = 1, problems with the mouse, or keyboard software control off or on.
- As before, the games run in any modern resolution (1024 * 768 in Kotor, Kotor2 in 1280 * 720) and render video with 800 * 600th There are mods that can change the most, but not with the .exe version of Kotor 1 which is present here. So to actually come in this enjoyment is a crack (which of course is not legal) duty. On my laptop, which has still not helped, because the resolution is not supported. Many will therefore not be able to avoid black bars on the sides.
- There is also a copy (for 9 years !!!) and fortunately that one of the problems with many Win7 and Win Vista is causing systems. Securom. Again and again I start the game was denied, despite the original DVD in the drive. Help from the Internet is indeed possible, but of course not legally
- The stability is still not really good and crashes are the rule, however, are still to be absorbed.
Have you finally put the game time to run and can overlooked the annoying bar, still awaits you about 40Std. pure fun with one of the best turns in the Games history. The way until then but will be rocky for many.
Overall, this re-release is therefore quite insolence and not appropriate for a masterpiece like Knight of the Old Republic!
Should have, since the price is good and it is just a game that really everybody can do with RPGs on the computer what plays I could not help and forgive at least 2 stars.
