Image quality: simply amazing! On 50-inch plasma HDTV as a "slide show" breathtaking! Prints and photo books ... well, for that you need not 36MP, but the images are of course outstanding.
I use no image editing, that's too annoying to burn my time on the PC. For me there is JPGS "as-you-get" out of the camera. The D800 has an ingenious software and I am always flat, which is possible with it. I am from the corner of the Slide photography (Fuji Velvia 50 ASA and previously shut Kodachrome K25 and K64) and have learned to think in advance before I press the shutter button. My goodness, I wish I had at that time already had a D800! What was I supposed to stand-smuggling and Objective-smuggling saved everything! A quantum leap of photography! For me is photography, the image is created at the moment of initiating or actually even before the head of Fotografens in place ... but everything else is fake. This entire sandwich cheese, etc.
I was with the camera among others on Sardinia, 2 x in the Maldives (!) And in Australia, it has never let me down somehow and had grown all environmental conditions and requirements. I do not have a spare battery or a battery monster growing needs ... Without filming the battery lasts one to two days, with hundreds of photographs ... So what?
Focus Problem: never had!
Pixel error: never had!
The serial number begins with 603 ....
The 100% viewfinder is awesome ... the big screen .... the noise falls in night shots and functional management (number of pixels decrease) not really significant ... It's stunning what I mean by that thing all receiving freehand while others are totschleppen with tripods.
The D800 does exactly what I want, what I tell you ... and how it should be. It is an ingenious, reliable and always ready labor and tools.
THANK Nikon!
Sometimes I really wonder what people will find all watch in disbelief on my D800 and wonder why I do not notice all the errors. Many sitting in front of the soup and shakes as long as the head to a hair fall and he will then. But probably I simply have no idea. This is just my subjective Beitag experience over 1.5 years now practice with the D800.
From my perspective, the D800 is the best camera I've ever owned - the resolution is amazing, the weight is almost a kilo less than that of the D700 (Nikon Thank you!) - Who always wants to be because so tow ... . comes first in my age, people! :-)
Maybe I could some yes "About stackers", the help can be made by so many negative review here crazy. I have not regretted a single cent for the D800 and D700 and all my other cameras sold (except for the F3). So.
