Skeptical? Was I, to this day! (IMPORTANT UPDATE)

Well, I was very skeptical as regards this product, I would not even buy me the price scares first time from. But I received the kit directly from the manufacturer, or middlemen as a test subject. I could therefore this product, which made me very skeptical to try out.

So today was time, the sun was shining and the temperatures were pleasant, perfect for trying out PLASTIDIP! So I got my 4 summer tires, which I had, of course, thoroughly cleaned before the winter, set out of the cellar and ran me. The theme of "clean" is important here, the wheels should be urgently clean! You do not need to be polished to a shine, but it should not be liable coarse dirt or other "means" on the rim. Who wants to be sure, makes the wheels with some soap or similar clean and rinses everything with clean water, that should be enough.

The packaging is not too big but not too small, but quite heavy, logically at 4x400ml doses. The carton By the way is also the "deck of cards" (one could at least my) containing a stack of "cards" for the rim ring.

These range as specified for all 15-22 "rim, whereby one must note here, you can attach the cards in portrait or landscape mode, in landscape mode, of course, you need fewer cards. But I recommend to put the card portrait, if possible, since one depending on ever comes up to the top of the card during spraying.

So plugged the card, the bottle is shaken well and strong and ran to work.
TIP: If available wear mouthguards, the stuff makes a huge haze and this stinks quite dangerous, so if possible outdoors and wearing surgical masks, for your own safety!
Here then just nice spray with 10-25cm distance loose, keep moving and do not tilt the bottle too much. At first you might think it does nothing, but after a short time the wheel is good black.
Here also really good spray, a bottle should be used for a rim. I have used 80% per wheel and sprayed with the rest of each emblems, the rest is reserve for repair work.

It is important especially at this time you should not touch the ground, or be touched by flies or similar as these then there might "dry up". After 10min. spraying again the whole rim well a, Again, not save, apply really nice liquid. If small "Sprühflecken" occur, this overspray immediately if possible, until they are completely liquid. Otherwise you afterwards unsightly "cheese with holes" (see pictures).

After the second passage remove the card and the same. Let the rim even at least another hour rest period! For me, the wheels are back in the basement, the summer tires come only in 2 weeks on the car.
Who's afraid to be valve, this simply glued on with masking tape or similar, so I did it.

Those who still have emblems or screw aperture, can also spray them with it, in this case the same procedure applies as for the rim: Newspapers inferior, emblems drauflegen, once beautiful Spray "wet", 10min. wait and again "wet" over it; done!
Peeling can be the "mass" amazingly great, with no residue or "paint problems" (So far tested only on small parts)

All in all, you are busy for a while and a mess makes the whole thing even (hence much newspaper inferior), but the end result has been very good. For durability, durability, or in road or in the car wash, I can not say anything as I said, because the tires are mounted until the end of April. But I will of course supply later experience.
So I give this product 4 out of 5 stars, pros and cons follow now:

SUPPLEMENTARY 04.05.2012:

The summer tires are now up and optically make the "new" wheels which ago. Now have sometimes taken just the pressure washer and sprayed onto the rim with a little distance, there is nothing abgeganen and the water rolls off nicely, so it should be!

As it looks, however, at the car wash, I do not know, here with us, the rims are cleaned with brushes, here I think there will be damage to the rubber.

Addendum 12.02.2015:

Meanwhile, I have sold my car and can still add a small resumé.

The film was applied by me definitely too thin, you should really use a can per wheel, no matter how much in the end is still on.
I sprayed my wheels just before the sale again with the rest, and then the wheels were really tired black. Furthermore, can be removed only with a whole lot of applied film the whole again. Who has too little sprayed afterwards only "scraps" that dissolve.

All in all, keeps the film really well, clearly, rockfalls and curbs left their mark as usual, but lifts the film. Who can change tires, which unfortunately have to live with that arise at the "holes" on the screws small abrasions from the drifter "tire changer".
Also occur when balancing on the wheel hub small footprints, so watch out here and immder directly wipe wet and pinch a bottle standing have at home.
