First of all many thanks to the users "Eagle" for his helpful review!
For those who still have problems after you follow those tips to print on MacOS wlan here's a trick of mine:
This assistance is intended for all those who have followed the eagle tips for setting up and indeed get no error messages under MacOS 10.8.5, the printer but still does not move! Apparently there is a bug in the latest drivers, which ensures that the printer is listed as ready, the print job is nevertheless never accepted.
The solution is quite simple: install an older driver!
Here is a small step by step guide:
- Driver Uninstall (System Preferences -> Print and Scan -> right click on the Printers -> Reset printing system)
Attention! This step removes other printer possibly also installed
- "Old" driver Dell Download (Support -> Retail -> Laser Printer -> C1660W -> Driver -> Select MacOS - enlarge with> the proposed driver "older versions" and then select A00
- Just like any other program to install the driver
- Check the settings (System Preferences -> Print and Scan -> the DELL printer should now be listed correctly and that the driver version 1.0 here)
- The printer is now ready for use
I wish you much success and a lot of fun with this great device!
