Slightly larger than 9V

Amazing!
Commercially I have been advised to buy this product because it is particularly suitable for smoke detectors. The steep price of almost 11 euros is justified because the battery was designed to keep them extra long and so on maturity incur no additional costs.

To so stunned I was when the battery did not fit in the smoke detector. The reason is that this product is about 1 mm wide and 1 mm higher than a commercially available battery (eg Duracell Pile Acaline) and can not be accommodated in a space-optimized smoke detectors with some pressure.

On the package there is no indication that the size is incorrect.
Even if I'm safe now accommodate this battery in another device, I find it unacceptable to sell a shape deviating from standard size battery.
