Should we regret the old Mothers Of Invention? "Chunga's Revenge" if it is not a total break, however, marked a change of attitude in the zappienne musical approach. Change accentuated by the play of new musicians, George Duke on electric piano, Jeff Simmons on bass and Ainsley Dunbar on drums. Their high technical Gum some madness, this permanence of satire that was found even in the play of instruments, above, this constant need to break the spirit of seriousness, as evidenced by the subtitle of the disc " A mutant gypsy dance industrial vacuum cleaner around a mysterious campfire in the night? The imported dozens castanets, seized by the horrible sucking motion of his heavy pipe, waving to a marginal erotic abandon in the atmosphere autumn at midnight. "
But wealth, musical intelligence Zappa however manage to affirm once more that different sound which is a synthetic "chemical" between different heritages. Here at the center, but also the blues rock of the 50's with always parodic texts. This disc may be of a lesser requirement than the previous, this unique work that is "My Flesh Weasels Reap" but now says Zappa, solid, mature and aware of his creative force. Supported by multi-instrumentalist Ian Underwood, he also asserts as a complete guitarist, varying tempos and still sovereign to the wah pedal.
