The pairing works with both iPhone (here 4s) as well as with a laptop with a separate Bluetooth receiver.
On the laptop, it took almost half an hour to Windows 7 itself had brought the correct driver from Microsoft - necessarily wait until drivers for all profiles (in my case there were three) were downloaded and installed from Windows!
