It works! I really had trouble believing that, but quickly and briefly to the last detail:
Processing:
As Yamaha expects very solid and chic.
Important: On the pictures, it never comes out really, but the top runs quite inclined to the rear. One can therefore only bad nor anything stacked on the box or something.
Connections:
Everything on it that you need. I was particularly important the two HDMI inputs. That works very well. 2 in, 1 out. But beware: If the YSP is not turned on and set to the correct input, and nothing comes on the TV. It should be clear, however, has ever asked me for a short time before a mystery;)
Furnishings:
Amazing! They placed the small 360-degree micro where you want to have the best sound. The cable of the microphone is about 5 feet long.
Important: The device via the menu on the TV only works with S-Video (RCA) connector, not via HDMI.
I can only recommend, because then tells the device exactly what to do and also that you please leave the room before the test quickly and closes all doors. After deafened and it chirps for about 30 seconds in the booth, then the setting is completed.
Note: The seating position should be possible front of the unit. With us it is the side and I had a very turn the box so that the setting was possible. But after all, always came with the other tests, the message that I should ask back in the middle of the micro more.
Sound:
Hammer! I think I have the first hour continuous "TV sound on, YSP from", "TV sound from YSP-on" played because the difference was so incredible.
TV is a Toshiba 42 "LCD with really very good pit - but it was hard to believe that I for years" as "TV have seen.
Surround:
Can I bad judge. We still have a very open living room and the TV is not in the center but stands sideways. The sound itself is like saying indescribable - Surround is sometimes to imagine what lies in large part to the unfavorable placement.
With us, the YSP is now also a replacement for the normal stereo system. That's ok, not great, but enough - despite subwoofer.
For film buffs and gamers, but highly recommended.
