I use the roller before and after my Cross Fit sessions and it is very effective to optimize muscle recovery and muscle untie knots.
However, be careful because it can hurt the first few uses. It's paradoxical, but it is precisely the sign that the roll can do you good!
The roller is a little small, hence the rating to 4/5. This can be limiting for some exercises as back or legs, but it's a detail on the ease of use (this does not affect the effectiveness of the roll).
