I have carried out a "downgrade". Come from the 70D. The 70s was a request repurchase in which I had not set the size of the camera in the pan. According to the motto "learning by doing" did bring me to the conclusion that is not this camera size for us exactly brilliant. One or the other lens I've fit at home, I wanted to look around me in the Canon camp and then I came across this little gem. The many reviews and comparisons on the Internet were overwhelmingly positive. Now, after a week of use and nearly 500 photos I have (my personal opinion, after the experience made) notice MORE camera I do not need. For me it is not important whether I can shoot 4 or 7 frames per second. The 19 cross-type sensors in the 70D are "nice" but with some exercise and consideration, you can also do with a central cross-type good photos, so do not have a professional and want to be Aspruch no Murals. The only thing I miss is the folding screen.
The 70D is a super camera and who is not afraid to haul larger equipment around, found in the price range is difficult to do better.
The 18-55 STM kit lens is quite ok. I have the great 40mm 2.8 STM and STM 55-250. In principle, I now miss absolutely nothing and the thanks offering for the 100D, UNDER 850.00 was for a price.
But as it is written, I was the "size" important. With the 40mm pancake the 100 even fits in a jacket pocket.
Possibly there is in the camp of system cameras (Panasonic or Sony) better cameras in this size, but if I then priced, stay with this equipment UNDER 1000,00, I doubt and because the lenses were already there, this was for me also no real alternative ,
