We now have 3 of the small appliances in the house and use it as a network media player.
The device is for this price even DNLA-compatible and plays unlike our SONY TV and .mkv files easily from.
From the sounds mentioned in other reviews (beeping, buzzing) I can confirm nothing ....... with us all the players are very quiet and make no more than when reading a DVD / BR a short Brummer.
