We bought this radio as a replacement for our old. The aim was to find a small radio, which can be charged with solar, crank operation, because we wanted to use it for our Pfadfindertuppe. We have now tested in 13-day intensive on a scout camp. The first 4 days it was exclusively with solar energy. It should be mentioned that it does not require direct sunlight to charge, but only bright light. Even at night it ran without that it had to be recharged. On the following days, it was raining and the sky was overcast. Nevertheless, enough solar energy. Only in the last 3 days we had in the evening thus boost the radio worked. It should be mentioned that you do not have to stimulate a 5-minute hearing in 5 minutes Radio. I can not say exactly how the relationship is crank-listening, but you have less time boost as you can hear.
From the operation should be mentioned here that when the battery schwächet, the frequency varies slightly (by + - 0.1 MHz), which does not interfere with the quality of reception. The volume declines even with debilitating battery.
The dials are well and can be easily operated.
The sound quality is for such a small radio amazingly well. We have understood everything and the volume was enough loose.
