The installation is not a problem thanks to the included CD.
My system recognizes the drive as a "Realtek RTL 8191 SU Wireless LAN 802.11n USB2.0".
The WPS button on the stick allows for easy connection to WPS enabled devices (in my case with a Fritz repeater).
Thanks to the repeater I'll stick with that to 52 Mbit / s (computer: Windows 7, USB2.0; router Speedbox HSPA WLAN IEEE802.11 b / g - ie max transfer rate 54 Mbit / s.) At approximately 70% signal strength (Information lt. of the measurement results of the supplied tools) as Internet access with my provider and my device configuration, this is sufficient.
The reception power seems to be neat; at the same place my phone receives a maximum of "satisfactory" on the same network.
Little joy the way: on my old laptop with XP and USB 1.1 the drive will also work without any problems.
Update: The course has challenged me to make this laptop up and running again. I always wanted to try Linux before. Lo and behold, easily recognized Linux (Xubuntu 04.12 alternate) the stick. For the 6.Stern!
Update 2: The possibility of using the old computer to obtain a network access and thus to work in an acceptable speed has led me to occupy myself intensively with Linux distributions. Now he is running under Puppy Linux; the stick was immediately recognized without problems and also here ensures a proper network access!
