After unpacking from the original Hercules box I was once surprised at the thin cable to the passive speaker. The terminals for this cable are also quite small. Great power can not talk about it to come. But a deafening sound of Party 70sqm rooms is also not the purpose of the boxes with a total capacity of 40 (2x20) watts RMS (continuous power). The then also felt honest.
Included is other than this cable or a power cable, and a mini-jack (male) -to-RCA (male) cord for the computer owner, and even a mini jack (male) -to-RCA (female) cable.
On the input side, the active speaker is on RCA (or correctly called RCA), mini stereo jack and - one amazed - symmetric 6.3-jack inputs. Someone has thought.
There are on Youtube a very interesting review that mainly due to the good of the bass boxes - indicating - in terms of their size.
In fact, the bass for speakers of this size and in this price range in my opinion do very well. This will likely be met by an artificial bass boost, since I know no boxes with such small speakers, in which the bass comes so concise. Incidentally, no such as Computer box of Edifier, Logitech and other cheap 2.1 systems because in these, the bass is very quickly to mud, although it puzzled humming mightily.
However, the overall balance seems to me - of course on price measured - very good. Centers not twang and begin not to disappear with bass-heavy music, levels are very clear and in the context of the leaked material for easier raising of the active speaker system - to differentiate good - in my case, electronic / downtempo. It is not as fast exhausting to work with them, since they can easily take back.
It must be clear to everyone that you do not get KRK Rokit for the price, since a box is more expensive than both Hercules together, but an astonishingly reasonable approximation already. It is reachable also the sweet spot by proper placement of the boxes, which means that the radiation is not as wide as in PC speakers usual.
What (switch on the back, no crackling) stands out quite quickly after power is something bright shining lights. For me, it is tolerable.
The bass control is also less efficient than in the setback, thus justifying my guess artificial basic increase in the raising. I am the system but not bad for it, since, as I said, very clearly comes Bass, affects not aufgekünstelt and also not to the detriment of the overall sound. Perhaps the good bass representation is yes but only a skilful optimization effect the forward two bass reflex ports.
Noise is easily audible only fully up volume control.
The two boxes are small and light for the total volume offered. They can be necessary even to lug when you round the corner is a suitable case for the Chinese.
The speakers are not the way protected by grid, but there are but according to the datasheet a magnetic shield that I could not test for lack of CRT. The amplifier is but apparently immune to mobile phone interference radiation and ground loop I have no condition to get.
It may not yet sound so euphoric, but I'm pretty confident of these speakers. For almost 130, - obtained a perhaps not overly loud, but quite honestly monitor for quick mix or mobile preproduction studio. Straightforward and even to look very pretty. I can recommend it only.
