The panorama plate rotates only when the latch is open, which can be a drawback for some, for my use, it does not bother. Panoramas can do it anyway with a Nodal-thingy, right?

The most important thing for me: This little thing is really snappy! Holds the ball tightly as a one. As did nothing wobbles, also thanks to the good quick release plate. The must be changed, moreover, really fast. One-hand or a thumb operation is not a problem. And the camera can be einklingen without having to hold the tripod or the head. My 5D with 80-200 is not the most serious combination, but not exactly a lightweight. Keeps bombproof.
I have had very many Kugfelköpfe in hand, very many. The 250 Euro are actually better run even softer, probably have a better cushioning. But better to use they are not, and they are not easily also.
