I use this hard drive as a backup of my music collection to listen to music as mp3 via a hi-fi amplifier. And the super successful, if I let the machine run for a BlueRay player from Samsung. Well, that's small format, so that one disk can take anywhere, the Energy Saving Programme and the backup software NERO.
Negatives I've not to report operating after 2 months.
