The build quality is ok. It is a cheap product and provides quite exactly what I expected.
The suction power is completely sufficient when directly connected to the nozzle for tobacco, ash, and small parts and small animal bedding. The situation is different if you connect the hose. At this length, the force reduces quite strong.
Similarly, the nozzle could a little harder stuck in the device. At the "back and forth pulling" on carpet she slips out regularly.
The cable is long enough for use in a room. The floor throughout the apartment is not sucked so anyway.
A strong odor I could not find in my copy.
BUT:
Relatively disturbing is also mentioned in other reviews strong airflow at the side of the device. It can be technically not really avoid, but it would probably have been more practical when the air is out out, for example backwards.
If you want to get just absorb the escaping stray around the hamster cage you should pay meticulous on how to align the nipple. When the lateral air flow in the direction has in the still lies scattered flying it halfway across the room and you can still get the big sucker.
