I have an existing Manfrotto tripod without central or spreader. In addition, several, mostly older tripods are in my stash.
As a videographer (Cinematic filmmaker sounds somehow lifted, but horny) I turn with mini-cranes, sliders and so on.

By ground spreader that is well made and very stable for some rickety structure, I can my tripods here and there a bit more stability without imparting to dig deep into his pocket for a cutting-edge video tripod.

It is very versatile and adapts to virtually any tripod.

For me, a strong buy recommendation.
