All the offers Sony CMTMX750NI.
The goods were delivered from Amazon as usual quickly ordered Friday, Monday it was there.
The commissioning has taken a little small - the facility and the boxes were indeed quick to set up, but my typing 63 characters long wireless key on the remote control was not quite as practicable. Too bad that I saw too late that a WPS function is integrated, which I had the system by pressing a button on the access point can sign ... :)
Meanwhile, it is now already for 2 days and runs all day. Everything has to work right away and smoothly: after registration in the wireless station has now found on the Internet, the available Internet radio station, on FM and DAB tuner into your usual broadcast well. Setting up a DLNA media server for streaming on my home PC (Windows 7 Pro with Media Player) was simple: with a few clicks I was able to access via WLAN from the Sony system on my PC and play all MP3 files.
An endurance test was before the CD drive. I have the dirtiest and zerkratztesten CD's picked out that I could find, and has not played my previous system, and have it inserted into the plant for testing. The Sony CMTMX507NI had with any single CD problems and has all - both regular audio CDs as well as home-burned CD's with MP3 files - easily recognized and played. The error correction is excellent and the CD player of very good quality. Something else I would not have expected from Sony.
As the device also has a USB port, I wanted the course to test the same in my euphoria. Said and done. USB stick sought draufgespielt MP3's and connected to the device. The stick was also detected, but the system announces "No Memory". So again deducted and reingesteckt again. Again same error. Back to the PC and looked at the stick more closely. It is a Sandisk Cruzer Titanium. This has a hidden partition with a so-called "U3 Launcher", the first ever to start themselves. The error thus was not at the Sony plant, but the stick. The Sony system had "seen" only the hidden partition to the launcher, because this is against the data partition and therefore the stick their problems. With another stick it worked then without problems.
A very important criterion is also the wireless connection:
Unfortunately I have very bad conditions at the site of the facility (kitchen). My router is in the living room and must spark over 10m through 2 walls for Sony CMTMX507NI. I've even bought another better rod antenna with + 8dBi to increase the transmission power, still shows the display at the Sony plant only one bar. A measurement on my laptop with inSSIDer showed that the signal quality is the only facility in low -70 to -80dBm. About the smartphone I have ever disconnections, especially since the signal of stronger networks (I receive signals from 30 different AP's) is superimposed. Despite these adverse conditions, the connection to the Sony system is stable - in 2 days I had only one brief disconnection for about 10 seconds, after which the compound was rebuilt.
POSITIVE:
+ Optics (simple but elegant design, removable boxes aperture, quality workmanship)
+ Sound / sound quality is very good
+ Features (FM, DAB, DLNA / home network, USB, iPod docking station, Internet radio, CD, Audio in)
+ Operability (easy setup, menu system and remote control clearly, good manual in paper form)
+ Good wireless connectivity
+ Multi-line display
+ Delivery (good packaging, FB with batteries, accessories)
NEGATIVE:
- Power cord a little short
- No audio output (3.5-jack headphone output as indicated in the description is not included, these are rather the Audio-in input), is for me but not so tragic, because I do not need the
- "Standby" is not really "standby". The system starts to connect to the power grid on the display a "Demo Display", the somewhat annoying, because this demo display in standby constantly runs out. A look at the manual, however, reveals how the demo display can be disabled. Is not really a criticism, but you must but we will see in the manual.
My overall impression is very good. The system is convincing in every respect.
All in all, an (almost) perfect Micro HiFi system which has at least until now fully met my expectations.
The price is therefore justified and the Sony CMTMX750NI a buy recommendation!
ADDENDUM:
The product page of SONY indicates that the plant has no CD-R's can play MP3 files. I have tested it: it works anyway. In the descriptions is nowhere indicated, with which WLAN standard transmits the device. In English product pages but you will find an indication that the device supports the IEEE 802.11b / g (2.4GHz) standard. So if a router in 802.11n radios (2.4GHz / 5GHz), will not get a connection in the 5 GHz range and probably see in the 2.4GHz range, no improvement of the transmission power. At the very least, the device supports WPA2-PSK (AES), and thus ensure compatibility is guaranteed.
According to the manufacturer side, the device also has no audio / headphone output. Here is just the product description of the seller wrong.
ADDENDUM 2 v 31.01.2015.:
After more than 2 years I'm still totally satisfied with the product. I have also been used several times to sound different birthdays and family celebrations - with sufficient volume. The low weight, the system can also rapidly degrade times and transport and also build quickly. The types of music on the home network (DLNA Media Server on Windows 7), the Internet radio functionality as the FM & DAB reception also work perfectly. The iPod connectivity I could now also test - again there were no problems.
