Product description: The above wall or night light contains a cool white LED and a motion sensor. This sensor detects movements in a strictly defined radius and sends a pulse to the LED. The luminosity of the LED is generated by 4 AA batteries; This offers a great flexibility in finding space for the light (no annoying power cables, etc). The wall or night light can be glued to the wall, screwed or just ajar. The use of an LED is energy-saving, promising a long service life and does not get hot even with frequent use.
Functionality: By inserting the batteries, the lamp is put into operation, that has been on the block a on / off switch (unfortunately) eliminated. The light from the LED is radiated downwards and reflected by the white housing plate into the room. Thus, a glare is prevented, but the road / space still illuminated sufficiently. The light shines (not as energy-saving lamps) with no flicker. The cold-white light is a matter of taste. As ceiling lights I personally find it cruel, but for this kind of (night) lighting definitely in order. The motion sensor reacts at a distance of approximately 4 meters at an angle of almost 180 degrees. After just 30 seconds, the LED goes out, unless further movements are detected within the sensor. The pity is that we can regulate neither the sensitivity of the sensor nor the brightness of the LEDs individually. The adhesive force of the pad is definitely satisfying and gives the wall lamp on smooth surface a safe stop. The screw / dowel I have not used, so I can say this, nothing.
Processing: The wall lamp is made of white, smooth, hard plastic and has a simple / discreet design. On the wall, the light does not act as a disturbing foreign body. The corners have been rounded (no risk of injury) and the processing looks rather dibasic. Size, weight and format (almost square) are well chosen.
Manual: Small-format manual is attached in different languages. The German translation is well understood; the unit but mostly also self-explanatory.
Scope of supply: Wall lamp with mounting accessories (. 1 x adhesive pad or 2 x screws and 2 x dowels) and operating instructions are included. The batteries (4x AA) not! Pity!
Conclusion: The wall light with motion detector senses its purpose and is unobtrusive. Price-performance ratio fits. Only 4 out of 5 stars there are, because the device has no on / off switch, no Batteries are present and no individual adjustments to brightness and / or sensor sensitivity are possible.
