Smells mouse cable is too short

Also I bought this mouse. Unfortunately, I have read the other reviews not detailed enough. Two points that bother me: The cord is too short (USB to my laptop left front - I'm right-handed, so it is not enough but that it smells - the mouse smells of cheap plastic or rubber (so then smell the finger. after prolonged work). So it is certainly worthwhile, first to look at other mice.

However, the function of the mouse itself is properly in my view.
