has now written even more books in a short time than other authors of their lives. Nevertheless, this has not hurt the quality of his books, on the contrary, it is in my opinion better and better!
His recently published book for Taimanov Sicilian now has several powerful predecessor, to which it applies to Measure Yourself: there was Taimanov's own work, a good book by Graham Burgess and a very current, outstanding work of the strong grandmaster Alexander Delchev, the undoubtedly is an expert in the field of Taimanov-Sicilian. How does the American IM compare? I will summarize it briefly: he needs behind Taimanov and Burgess not to hide and is on par with Delchev whose proposals he also picks up and sometimes even refined. There are also seen very own current innovations Rizzitano's, such as in the game with Shabalov.
Rizzitano knows the Taimanov-Sizi and its nuances well and he understands perfectly how to communicate mundane as Sophisticated good to his readers. Relationships are admirably explained, transpositions and their advantages and disadvantages are discussed in detail and it is placed a lot of emphasis on it to represent the fundamental motives of Taimanov-Sicilian. In the 25 illustrative games Rizzitano discusses brand new variants such as the popular English attack from Taimanov's original treatment with ... Nge7 to rarer sidelines.
Overall, this is in my opinion the best book so far clear of this new series, even if you already must shell out a pretty steep price for a little more than one hundred pages.
