A first part presents general information and theory.
The second part presents techniques, classified by level of difficulty (color belts).
Each offensive or defensive technique is very well explained, the key points are highlighted, and the parades, against parades are given in the following pages!
It is certainly by far the best book of the two Gracie brothers.
2 important points:
1 This book is quite comprehensive in giving some blows on parades techniques, projection, etc. But this is not his strong point, as this is not the strong point of bjj in general. Better to work with these aspects and fields of books masters such as boxing / thai / judo etc.
2 This book is not sufficient to itself. It takes at least a training partner to understand and apply the techniques described. Although the ideal is a work room with more experienced instructors so ...
