"Destiny's Way" is for me one of the best - perhaps the best "New Jedi Order" book to date. May well be that some characters are not as well made or come up short, but "typical Star Wars" (ie with the same "feel" like in the movies) is in most novels eh nothing. One of the greatest strengths of the NJO series is that it combines all so characters from the previous books, comics - the better you look in Star Wars - Universe knows, the more fun you have on these novels. Walter Jon Williams still tells also a very exciting history: For the first time the New Republic might have a chance to defeat definitively the Yuuzhan Vong - and the same in two ways: First, if it were Admiral Ackbar, who has designed an ingenious game plan and also is openly backed a secret project that the development of a deadly weapon to the target had (do not worry: It's not a new Death Star!). Jacen and Vergere escaped from Coruscant and have to once for days be inquired by the secret service and of Luke Skywalker before they can engage both the action. Vergere, the known is indeed a Jedi Knight of the Old Republic is, of course, surprising that thousands of Jedi Knights no longer exist .... Even the Jedi Council's wiped out a long time, but in "Destiny's Way", he is re-established! Walter Jon Williams writing style really like it a lot; he is one of the few authors in which the space battles are not boring after two pages. Here you almost feel like you can see the space cruiser in front of him on the canvas. My tip: When reading quietly necessarily the soundtrack to one of the Star Wars movies listen!
