First steps:
When unpacking immediately notice that the Dymo Label Manager feels quite dibasic. All keys are made of rubber; the cutter button stable; it wobbles and rattles nothing. The battery is slightly charged, so you can get started in principle immediately and print a sample label. Battery and ribbon cartridge can be insert easily, this one must not even read the manual. Despite this, the manual is structured clearly and structured.
Menu navigation:
The Dymo Label Manager can be - even without having read the manual - operated intuitively. When you first turn you will be asked on the large, clearly legible display immediately which language you want to select which unit ("mm" or "inch") and you can choose the width of the ribbon, and the font size and style. This Einstellugen can be changed later uncomplicated. The symbols on the pressure equipment are for anyone who has had anywhere near something to do with computers, self-explanatory.
Software:
The Label Manager is tantamount therefore with 2 software versions: one with the label Light version that is installed directly on the device and in addition a CD from which you can install the more elaborate Dymo Label 8.0. If you turn on the Label Manager and via the PC using the USB cable connects (Win 7 with me), the drivers are installed automatically. Then you find the device on the desktop (where you can also find drives, etc.). If you click on the unit, you have to run only Dymo Light and it will open a small window where one finds the basic functions. Setting bandwidth, add any frame on "Print" button and you're done. Very simple. The included 8.0 software also create additional functions such as barcodes and insert clipart / logos, has more fonts and more ...
Conclusion:
I now could not find anything negative about the equipment and set up. The device is technically excellent workmanship material, can be operated intuitively and has everything is what I need to create labels. That's why I full 5 stars.
