I have carried out in recent days and the upgrade from Win7 to Win8 and regret this transition not to Win8. Win8 on a desktop PC makes but only really "fun" if you use the T650 as a mouse (or T620). Everything works as it should, that is, the essential gestures are very well supported. The installation went very fast and the gesture guided instructions are good and understandable. However, we already have to take time to "warm" to be with the touchpad really, or to the different gestures then to dominate blind. At first it really requires exercise to rehearse when one has for what command to use 1 finger, 2 fingers, 3 and ultimately 4 fingers and the directions in which you have to move his pen. The material processing of the pad is very good and high quality! Positive also that it can be charged via the included USB cable!
Now comes for me personally, however, the "but":
I had also ordered me to directly compare the Touch Mouse T620 and work with her now rd. 2 Weeks. Also this mouse works (much better than the MS Touch!) Under Win8 very good. The T620 supports largely the same gesture controls such as the T650. As far as I can tell, is in the mouse, only the 2-finger swipe to zoom in / not supported by eg photos. On the other hand go up with the T620 some commands better by the hand, for example, calling the home screen with one finger or double, and the change betw. Desktop and Metro / Startup! Closing apps by pulling down from the top of the screen is also comfortable with the T620. Even calling the context menu by right-clicking takes place more harmonious than with the pad. That reminds me beyond the handling of the Touch Mouse with respect is also ergonomically familiar to the former "usual" mouse, I tend personally to the T620. The T620 I personally feel a little more on the joints and less tiring than the pad T650. But great advantage of the T650 is again that it is more difficult, a larger area for the gesture control features and thus does not slip. This happens when the T620 before.
Conclusion:
The aforementioned limitations of the T650 are my personal experiences. Therefore, I can deduct the items to be no star. For the processing and the basic functions and the interaction with Win8 are very good and worth 5 stars (but which I also mean the price / performance ratio in total!).
Ultimately, however, I tend to the new T620 also because I almost can perform the same gesture with her as with the T650, but everything a bit quicker and with less finger technique. The best thing in my opinion, you really tried both from the direct comparison and then decide! If you have the money absolutely left, even the parallel use of both devices would complement each other well, since this is very well possible on the new unifying function. Nevertheless full purchase recommendation for those who feel comfortable with this pad better than a T620!
Another note to all Win8-transfer passengers (although it fits thematically not really here):
Win8 is controversial. I personally appreciated the innovations. To all who criticize far as Win8 desktop users ..... try it once with the touch pad 650 or with the T620! So Win8's fun right and one uses the full potential of a desktop PC!
