For some time my unit had a loose connection, I heard again and again only one stereo channel, with shaking the plug back both. Today I have the device repaired: One gets the Sansa Clip + so on: 1. Remove a possibly inserted memory card 2. Squeeze the housing from top to bottom, thus opens laterally a minimum gap 2. into the gap carefully drive in with a sharp knife and the knife tip a little, so that the gap rises to the point that you can go into it with a fingernail 3. round by driving around with your fingernail in the gap, you can release the rear portion of the case so far that you can remove it. There are no wire connections between the lid and the device itself, therefore the removal is without risk. The buttons are designed so that they do not fall equally. 4. In my case resulted in the failure analysis that a solder in the connector had come loose from the motherboard. A swab with the soldering iron on it - finished soldered! 5. To assemble the lid simply press the button again on the device. Everything OK, as if nothing had ever been back.
We should develop from the throwaway society for repair.
