The move was carried out by a GeForce GTX460 768MB beyond mere unsuccessful attempts with a GTX570 to this Sapphire HP6950 2GB. The objective was a peformante graphics card that is sufficient for current games and some 200 (eg BF3.) - 250,00 Euro costs.
// PERFORMANCE
In benchmark tests with the 3DMark Vantage the card reaches the standard clock on my system (2500k, 8GB) a score of 19,561 points in the performance test.
I have a test basis the GPU clock to 900MHz offered (increase more than 10%). This is without the voltage raise and the card reaches then at me 20,401 points in the performance test.
Current games like Battlefield 3, Anno 2070, etc. I play on 1,920 x 1,080 on Ultra settings at medium antialiasing - at over 50 FPS relaxed.
Overclocking does best with Sapphire Trixx, on-site tool is ideal for the card. The temperatures and speeds I have read with GPU-Z.
// FAN
In the Performance Test at 900 MHz, the fan rotates at times to just 50% speed, the card thereby reached peaks of about 63 degrees and can not interfere with it. Such speeds and temperatures will be probably rather see only benchmark, in games you get on so hardly a burden.
The fan can be perceived at 50% speed by a humming, with headset and in-game sound I'd heard already barely. In real conditions in the game, the fan is not for me to hear. The card is so much quieter than my GTX460 that came from the house of Palit.
// DIMENSIONS
An essential aspect of purchase were the dimensions, because my body can not accommodate a 30 cm graphics card. The card is expected to be just under 28 cm long and requires 2 slots in the width of the fan.
// DUAL DISPLAY OPERATION
Finally, a word of advice from me for all those who want to run multiple monitors to a video card. The Eyefinity technology from ATI here is vastly superior - while Nvidia has to turn back in the 3D mode to ever reveal the desktop on 2 displays, ATI makes it comfortable in 2D mode. The already ears and your wallet.
// CONCLUSION
I rate the card ***** because I primarily the price / performance ratio evaluated here. Of course there are better graphics card, no question - but at this price point, the map clearly plays with the top and I think I have well spent my money. Buy recommendation!
