Small errors in the design of the OC tools, and already there's trouble! I've explained in the video why some think their graphics card is broken (overheated) and the often not so! The problem is you can not see! And worse you can not see!
Why you should run the OC tool even if, like me, intends NOT! to overclock is clear:
It regulates the voltage and clock of the graphics card - the 125 Watt power dissipation are not verballert and the temperature is not too high, the video card overclocked dynamically by itself upward and increases the clock speed! Or clocked down when the VSYNC value (usually 60fps as the monitor) has been reached the frame rates.
Ex .: Far Cry3 - at the end of the video-recession (Everything at maximum 1920x1024 resolution which is a Klax for the video card)
The graphics card is running there with me with 1110 MHz and not with the 1058 MHz, as the card apparently thinks they can do even more! (+ -40% FAN never above 70 degrees)
BSP .: FEAR3 (everything max VSYNC ON !!!)
I've chosen the other side: an "old" game because the graphics card is clocked at 800MHz just as they loose creates the maximum 60 frames of my monitor!
Who now wonders, what's with the clock down? What's the point? Very easily:
Less clock = less heat = less fan = less fan noise level and noise!
This is the mode of action of BOOST or understand what the video card manufacturer under BOOST.
This is not overclock! Overclocking means that go beyond the standard 125 watts power dissipation and thus produce more heat, wasted more electricity and thus get more frames!
The difference from the 500 series is huge! It's not just the 20% performance increase on average, it is all the bells and whistles of the graphics card!
And so 5 ***** she deserves!
