1. The switch from solar to battery operation should happen automatically. This ought to without huge expense (costs) be possible.
2. The housing of the pump is very small. This also results in a very small footprint. The thing is in a pond just are not properly maintained. One wants that walking the beautiful water jets upwards and not somehow rumspritzen sideways. I had to manage by myself I klepte the pump on a tile so that it has an adequate floor space. The small pump housing also results in that the filter is very small and thus clogged very quickly.
I think, however, the solar pump is good, in a pond with plenty of vegetation and thereby also always some mud on the floor of limited significance. My predecessor pump was clearly weaker in performance, but stopped at least, not dirty so quickly.
But if you want to run the pump only a small, sterile basin and to think of something for a good stand, for I will give a clear buy recommendation.
