Upon delivery of a knife was mounted without serrated edge, a separate disk with serrated edge was the mission in a stable plastic storage case. Now I was uncertain: which knife for bread - which for cheese, ham, sausage ??
I found no evidence, either in the manual or on the discs. Fortunately in the instructions a service address of Ritter indicated that I called. Without hold, etc. zigmal further connect was immediately helped by a very nice fellow to me:
Serrated bread, smooth side for cheese, sausage etc.
The change of the discs was no problem - with a money coin, I've now set up and running in the vicinity.
The volume is normal, and the cutting of bread works as easily as from sausage and cheese (ham I have not tried it yet). Level one enables continuous use at two free hands, with stage two stops the machine as soon as the finger releases the key.
In a very large bread is necessary to remove the finger guard, because the pan supports is not big enough for it. But then there is also no risk for the fingers ;-). Since the removal and re-laying goes smoothly, that's no problem.
The drip tray catches on both crumbs and the cut slices. Since it is only loosely under the machine, it can be cleaned quickly and easily removed and used for serving.
It would make sense certainly, if in the manual and / or on the knife-disc the use designation indicates whether bread or sausage / cheese ;-).
Conclusion:
So far, so I'm very satisfied, too bad I can only find that they can not be folded up so that I could let them disappear in the closet.
A German brand to just acceptable price - nice service, stable quality!
