Highlights of this CD are the mega hit "I Drove All Night", in which everything is right: Cool sound, beautiful melody and an unleashing singing Cyndi Lauper. The title is really fun and has lots of energy. "Like a cat" I also like very much: Here especially like the melody and the sassy sound, a title that you keep the same in mind. "My first night without you" is then a little quieter, therefore, but is a super horny ballad. Above all, the sound is impressive, something that comes in a retro style and therefore sounds very different between the verses and chorus. And also "Unconditional love" is rather quiet, but sounds a little dreamy and like a typical pop ballad. The rest is as I said not bad, and corresponds to the current pop music of the late 80s.
What bothers me a bit the superfluous information and Outro (Kindred Spirit), which does not fit with the rest of music and hintümpelt somewhere in deepest background in front of him. But these little gimmicks should then not detract from the rest of the music and you can even run just skip.
The voice of Cyndi Lauper sounds on "A Night to Remember" perhaps not quite as mature as it is today, but is already one of the highlights of the whole music scene. And the comparison with their other albums of the 80's holding this CD easily stood.
