Our son is 5 and get this microscope for Christmas. As I inquired before long and I looked up, I wanted to test it in advance and if it does not suit us to return, again. We could not imagine exactly whether 20-fold magnification is sufficient us. I sat down and tried me in the evening. The microscope was quick in operation and ready for the first tests. Batteries in and off we went. While it's initially a little difficult to see with both eyes into the eyepieces and to recognize a single image, but with a little practice it works quite well. Whether it works a treat with our son, I do not know - but that's probably the same weight for all microscopes. We had some time ago already a microscope with very high magnification and thus were not clear. With such small parts can not really imagine what one considers just. This is different. You can change things for the part as a whole look (z. B. Tannennadel) but nevertheless fascinating detail. You can see the points when printing a stamp, the edge of which is a small abyss; on the fingertip, you can see the pores clear of which are expressed little water droplets; de cuticles you should save more, otherwise you need immediately manicure! What is interesting are the everyday objects. I think that's exactly right for children from pre-school age. I'll eventually buy it for the nursery. For younger children there is nothing yet - the simultaneous viewing with both eyes is then probably still too difficult. I would imagine that to 40 times and could still be very interesting! Moreover, it would probably be too detailed for normal home use. I can not even wait to get started again!
