Came across by chance on Mayer Hawthorne, in the ZDF culture channel a concert recording was running, was super soulful. The CD is great: it is not - like so many others - in the 60s Soul Retro-rail, but also plays intelligently and well produced through the 60s, 70s and early 80s. As many as Motown sounds (there is also a song about Detroit), much like the middle Bee Gees, some already a little disco - but situates everything in soulful area. For me a really nice discovery!
