Wicked Man S Rest (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Almost unbelievable that there are still no reviews of this loving plant. The harder it is to objectively say something without too much drift in effusive praise. It has this album, quite objectively, deserves this.

Rear Passenger infected the British singer and songwriter Mike Rosenberg, all original practices his profession and has live mostly likely to be found alone, sometimes on the road. He plays and sometimes looks a bit like a poor man from that, however, is full of wonderful melodies and lively texts. When he recorded enough money, he goes back into the studio and records an album, along with some fellow musicians and then something comes out like Wicked Man's Rest.

On this album I can not find a song that I would continue to press or would do poorly. It's like an exquisite box of chocolates. Every piece unique and a pleasure: quality rather than quantity. It is a beautiful singer / songwriter folk and somehow the term extends not quite out. Man is once through the whole range of human emotions, always moving and never cheesy.

The tones paint seemingly casually beautiful soundscapes with instruments that are otherwise not heard every day or even language that runs in the background as an old radio. It has an immediate image in mind and guess where we are going, after the first few seconds and yet it is sometimes still surprised. The voice sometimes reminiscent of James Blunt, what irritated me at first. But very quickly it becomes clear that it is the voice of something profound and not the slightly whiny connotation that sometimes bothers me when something Blunt. (Sorry love James Blunt fans, it's not meant any harm.)

Of the texts can not rave enough one. Since stories are told about the life and Rosenberg manages like no other to grab real wisdom in a couplet that never sound stale or from above and always hit the mark. His skill with the English language and the rhymes is admirable, yet never seems designed or strenuous. It's like a great radio play of short stories and catchy music. Some songs come with a mischievous twinkle therefore as 'Walk you home', others are very sad and hopeful at the same time as 'Walk in the Rain' and many talk about the people and their shortcomings, hopes and fears. Every song has a magic, which one can not escape, because even the "worst" song (if there because a) is still better than the highlight on so many other things Album.

Anspieltipps were in addition to the titles already mentioned and 'Wicked Man's Rest' especially 'Needle in the dark'. My secret favorite is 'For you', I honestly one of the most moving songs for holding at all and an unexpectedly at one point of the album is true to the one already it thinks can not possibly be better.

Conclusion: This multi-layered album, you should have the good fortune and still get it somewhere in the fingers, is more than worth buying. It is absolutely beautiful and this timeless. One of the CDs, which can be found still great after many years, because it is simply very well done and touched.
