Soothe My Soul combines disco rhythm grade, Depeche Mode typical Elektrosynthiepop with a strong vocals of Dave Gahan and Martin Gore. Although the basic beat of the Personal Jesus is the same, Soothe My Soul sounds completely different, especially the alternately sung by Dave and Martin chorus sounds strong and enticed to rock. In my opinion this is one song to the very best, have ever made the Depeche Mode. The shortened radio version here (3:57 min) is compared with the original version (5:17 min) compact and without the somewhat annoying conclusion.
