À propos "confirmed by Amazon purchase": In fact, I bought the following predecessor model, which is available on request from the manufacturer itself almost identical to that commented here (!): Toaster Colors 18013-56 - Slate, here the Amazon link:
___
I confess: Elected I have this simple model first because of its color, a medium gray, which exactly fits together with the chrome-colored central part in my kitchen, and because of its classic retro design, has always been the hallmark of Russell Hobbs. Also, that it is designed symmetrically and in comparison to other current toasters relatively compact, liked me right away.
My claim was simple, namely to find primarily a potent toaster disdainful slices of bread, which has proved to be true in practice: This toaster is in fact extremely powerful and fast therefore, toast tans already at level 2 slightly gülden :) - with the small disadvantage of so much heat output that the housing itself really so hot (and not just warm !!) is that one the Toaster in action at the best _only_ at the two gray plastic ears left and right grips.
However, the hot housing is - for me, anyway - a purely theoretical problem, because you can take the hands can remain simple: ultimately fitted to the unit with the toast and takes him - and that you manage quite well without the toaster touch to have to. Maybe I will indeed meet that I eat only American Sandwich Toast, he (and tastes better to me) is a bit larger in size than the so-called classic 'butter toast'.
NOTES:
1) From the second load toasts it is recommended to (continuously) a half shift down to all level: he has then overheated and tans intense!
2) Who will hinguckt exactly find that toasts are indeed one side evenly, but browned on the inside a ticking faster than on the outsides (the toaster) - "type of construction" as the saying goes. But I also no known who could do better ...
The toaster has of course an interruption button which works perfectly though, the one does not then need if you have your toast level found. Would be noted that the toaster has gone so right warm after the first round, and one half must to a level to turn back for the following toast - but can be finely adjusted in the continuously variable degree of roasting.
That with the hotly debated here short power cord was even an advantage for me, because my outlets are integrated in the light strips on the underside of my upper cabinets. A longer - openly lying around - Cable produces visually and concretely disturbing cable salad - for me is little unsightly as to long power cord. Bin anyway a friend short distances, and have already mounted some additional outlets for this reason - solved on the spot, problem.
In this case, even a high on functional simplicity! For my purposes, this toaster is well, since I use it mainly for breakfast toasts and Briochescheiben - for filled sandwiches and pita pockets, etc. comes another (pliers Toaster) is used, and for rolls, croissants and Co. I use for better Aufbackergebnisse anyway a mini-oven. The Russell Hobbs is just not all-in-one device. But that was not at all necessary.
