1. She Looks So Perfect
Yes, a lot of "Hey" s like here at the beginning we will hear even in a row, so much for that. But that's not a bad food that is delivered here. The verses have fallen quite trendy and the chorus is more pop rock than pop punk, but the instrumentalization white with an intimate straightforwardness to please and also the variable vocals (under the slogan "Everyone can sing someday!") convinced. Lyrically this typical 2000s Emo Pop is offered, never hurt anyone, is fun and a good opener.

2. Do not Stop
The beginning is a bit faster, the vocal but very trendy, you have to listen, especially in the verses. The chorus is the first time hearing even some getting used to, but settles for a few seconds in the ear and biting also fixed. The "Oh, oh, oh, oh 's you have to sing along and catches herself at the latest on the last chorus to sing the rest loudly. The fail many bands that you can not sing along at first listen all the parts of a song. Again, the topic is "Love" grazed large, but still does not act embarrassed or fake.

3. Good Girls
Again, the beginning is not very imaginative, but already the first verse convinced immediately. The chorus will finally something strongly, I would still times really pop-punk anthem call. The number goes over the entire three and a half minutes of play really good forwards and I could imagine "Good Girls" as a true live firecrackers, drums and guitars promise that in any case - if not for all the teenage girls would rumkreischen. Lyrically I find this song pretty cool, of course, continue light fare, but well presented with a wink. Very personable and a face-off tip!

4. Kiss Me Kiss Me
"Wait a minute shortly That! All Time Low but do you?" - Those were my first thoughts on "Kiss Me Kiss Me". And indeed here ATL singer Alex Gaskarth his fingers had the songwriting in the game and you can hear that the song Always. Nevertheless, it does not look like a cover or a copy, but as an independent title that works just great, great fun and at the latest in a short breakdown shows that 5 Seconds of Summer really can really rock. The lyrics are of course again to love, but again, like the approach, which also is not a unique selling point and admittedly reminiscent of All Time Low. Nevertheless, the number for me is the absolute highlight on the plate.

And on we go with an ingenious introduction that her somewhat reminiscent of the instruments to Green Day. With the onset of song you have to first again listen, before the chorus absolutely convinced. What really bothers me somewhat, is the vocals in the verses, which does not fit for me to really good instrumentation, but rather disappointed and very pale remains. As already mentioned, the chorus is again very strong, and the back slightly harder Bridge is fun and even lyrically white "18" again by pleasant humor to convince.

6. Everything I Did not Say
Probably the most relaxing song on the album starts with anthemic "Oh oh oh" s (in the booklet of the album with "lots of" numbered) and then goes into a summer Rocker between All Time Low (yes, even without Alex's intervention) and Foster The People over, the scores again especially in the chorus with the sing-along factor. Lyrically there's also here not really new to report, except perhaps that it is something more serious this time. The bridge is then a bit random, I would say, on the one hand very trendy times, are on the other again a few harsher accents, which does not really stand the song to shame. Overall, however, very tidy with a cool finish.

7. Beside You
And now it is even more pop, the entry and the song tell me at first not really until merges the refrain to a pleasant pop-rock ballad. The vulnerability of the songs are clearly the verses in which the vocals sound somehow placed and uninspired. In between, however, a really good instrumental part is placed, which works really well and turns into a bridge that initiates the strong end of the song. A distinct smear can be found here but because of the verses.

8. End Up Here
This is yet again another food, a really cool beginning, enriched some electronic transitions into a relatively quiet first verse, which lyrically, despite the typical theme, somehow surprised me positively. The chorus is then pure pop-punk and somehow you can hear that here Alex Gaskarth was involved in the songwriting again. Again reminiscent of typical high school pop-punk, which is for parties on warm summer nights just like made. Nevertheless, I would have still liked a bit more fire in the verses.

9. Long Way Home
The beginning is very reminiscent of 90s college rock Weezer, REM and Co. before the chorus suddenly blaring out of the speakers, because you have kept the first verse for too long intro. The refrain in any case is re-pop-punk at its best, yes, All Time Low are greeting again, and, yes, Alex Gaskarth had a hand in the game - you do hear it always, because the refrain some of the Drive of the song "Backseat Serenade "ATL in it. The second verse is something quiet and relaxed and scores yet with unmistakable musical qualities that also characterize the first. And finally recognizes someone as romantic Green Day on the radio are really!

10. Heartbreak Girl
The tenth title is from beginning to end a catchy tune at its best, of on the one hand is lyrically very hopeful seems to be really grasped directly from the life on the other side, at least all this sounds pretty authentic. Particularly positive stands out the drumming that sounds so unleashed in extremely catchy chorus as rare on the plate. The guitars pleasantly punchy through the speakers and make "Heartbreak Gril" another face-off tip.

11 English Love Affair
With a strong bassline the penultimate title begins in this very entertaining work. That no profound lyrical revelation more is to be expected, I have I think not mention, but I honestly did not expect. I would even say that I anyway do not expect the ostensibly of pop punk. Musically though known food is delivered, but that's what I want to hear, a nice rock song for the summer, and exactly provide 5 Seconds of Summer here again - with strong guitars and driving bass, played here even comparable with Mark Hoppus. Only the (luckily very short) Bridge does not fit into the flow of this Dreiminüters.

12 Amnesia
And here's a song to which I had very high expectations - but were involved in the last song, the Madden Brothers of Good Charlotte. "Amnesia" is unfortunately not the expected pop punk belter at the end, but an acoustic ballad that unfortunately damn boring and only works in the reasonably successful choruses that can at least keep up with rudimentary acoustic songs by Good Charlotte. Nevertheless, the completion of the plate bottom line is just a dripping pathos pop song, with whom I can probably make friends so really never.

Conclusion:
Maybe it provide Australians with their album debut album not remove their boy band image, to them simply lack the topics and the fans who to live concerts sometimes mitpogen tidy as mitkreischen. But 5 Seconds of Summer are on the right track there. They show that they can do really more than just a couple of girls swarms that earn guttem looks and bad songs money because convince their songs on the whole. Even if they might like to be a bit variable in their themes, their lyrics are definitely not bad at all and I am sure that we will hear a lot from the Aussies whose name is actually program. And I can only say that I am already looking forward somehow.
Those looking for pop-punk with the right knack for catchy melodies and sing-along choruses, not to be unsettled by reputation by 5 Seconds of Summer located. For fans of All Time Low, Simple Plan and The Downtown Fiction this record is an enrichment of the collection, the appetite for the summer.
