On this CD we hear South American music, performed by the Baroque Ensemble l'Arpeggiata under the proven leadership of Christina Pluhar. Whoever thinks that getting Baroque Music from South America offer, is wrong, even though the roots of course, are from the period of the 17th century when the Spaniards and Portuguese colonized the continent. Rhythmically is zambas, polcas, nanas, joropos, boleros, dances that are spread across the continent and to know and love the friends of South American music. In many cases, this kind of music is on conventional CDs but at the level of folk music television in Germany because pandering means to dull mass taste revenue. Sixteen of such a dedicated artist, as Christina Pluhar happens, of course, do not expect: You know that the people are not neously. And that's why her company is staffed with excellent musicians and the vocal soloists are in no way inferior to them: Philippe Jaroussky, the charming countertenor, on the one needs nothing more to say, because he leads the Guard very good singer of his subject. How he presents the two songs Los Pájaros Perdidos and Duerme Negrito, also brings the hardest heart melt, is unforgettable. However, the mezzo-soprano Luciana Mancini, the soprano Raquel Andueza, the singer Lucilla Galeazzi and the Neapolitan singer Vincenzo Capezzuto place from samples of their great skill. No single song is due to the great skill of the ensemble and the singers 08/15, is characterized by subtle lines and expressiveness. Music for listening, due to the animating rhythms of course the co-moving, but without ever flatten to pure dance music. Music to dream!
