I would rather use this review to warn potential buyers on something I have (as I find amazingly) in none of the many reviews on the Acer VN mentioned I found the speakers - so powerful and loud they are - are located on the bottom and sound just fine for my taste, if you holding up the device, or at least highly folds the bottom at an angle and keeps in this position. In the typical "laptop" situation or asked quite normal on a table the sound is dull dull dull. For me it's a knock-out criterion, sorry.
What I also did not like:
- The touch pad is at least in my copy not particularly precise.
- The display (also perhaps only in my copy) is rather dark compared to my old Packard Bell cheap notebook.
From these points from the computer I find very appealing. It works quite stable and relatively well finished, is super quiet and super fast, as expected. Since I had not installed any of my programs and thus could not try the behavior in real load, that is of course only a very preliminary impression.
Clear I could now connect speakers, a mouse, and possibly also an external monitor, but it's kind of not the point of it ... Too bad, I would have liked liked the Acer :-(
Short even for WLAN, which is hotly debated indeed in the reviews on many Acer VN models: In my unit, delivered at 22:01:15, the controversial Atheros module is also installed. I myself could, however, at least in the few hours in which I tested, find no restrictions. Easily set up, five bars in the whole house (not just my iPad mini), no disconnections or noticeable tempo fluctuations.
OK, as I said this should be a full evaluation - maybe good is one or the other interested parties of the Note to the speakers something ... I myself am looking further now and I hope that not all notebooks these days sound for the table or the couch .. ,
