Sensational picture quality with regard to sharpness, color and noise can, keep my mind loose with DSLRs of lower professional class, but costs a quarter.
Operation is very good, on-screen menu.
But you should take for each photo, and also for transmitting (and possibly finishing) time.
In addition, for the handling of RAW photos a computer with enough memory and processing power recommended, and enough disk space for archiving (my 1GHz / 256MB / 40GB go, but annoying).
High-quality night shots are apparently only to a limited extent, this is true but on many cameras.
The strengths come only when shooting in RAW format to wear properly.
The images from this camera are namely (with the same image information!) About half the size (in terms of width and height) as comparable conventional cameras today, and lose more information in the JPG compression.
So while the images of DP1s in RAW still just as well (or better) are as the other cameras, they are as it were in JPG actually only half as large (would be a workaround: Image size double (ie width and height) compression before JPG) ,
The supplied program provides some correction options such as post-exposure, lighten shadows, white balance, their quality has impressed me.
In all weaknesses, this is still just a compact camera, and I have found a very convenient way to make the go-quality images.
And in JPG format and automatic mode reichts still for fun photos.
