The stand should have a compact pack size, low weight and ease of use, and remain under priced. In addition, quick release plate and ball head were desired. The maximum working height should not be too low.
All this provides the Manfrotto MKBFRA4 bra Befree. With 1.4 kg, 40 cm pack size it is light and compact, to have it on every trip and every time day trip with us. The maximum load of 4 kg is sufficient with my Olympus OM-D E-M1, together with battery grip, lens and Metz flash from perfect to hold the camera in any desired position. The legs offer in windy conditions good grip without that the picture blurred. Cloudy, with stormy winds it will probably be too unstable.
The folding mechanism, combined with the quick-release fasteners and the angle of the two legs also leaves no wish unfulfilled. The bag included completes the consistently positive results.
