Spotify Connect does not work

I bought the unit in April last year and has so far been actually quite happy with it. However, now for two months already working the Spotify function only sporadically and during the last few days no longer. With a little research on the Spotify community pages you can well understand that this is not just a problem of this model.
The Yamaha Support logs if you're lucky with the answer that you should contact the Spotify support. No sooner said than done, and after a general troubleshooting then you get told that although it does Spotify sorry, but there probably is nothing to do. The model was anyway not officially supported by Spotify.

So to sum up the whole:
Yamaha is applying here a product as fully compatible with the Spotify-Connect feature. This feature is crucial for me in the buying decision. Finally, the whole thing does not work then what you will be sent on the Yamaha Support for Spotify. Since a turn, informed that the product is not supported at all. To date, I received no further response from the Yamaha Support.
About so a customer policy can only marvel.

My conclusion: Who is not important the Spotify function can access calm. However, all other I advise against the purchase. I'm having this problem not the only can be easily read here: [...]
One can only hope that Yamaha (+ Spotify) comes here once in the aisles. So is the whole slightly outrageous.
