But the new laptop with Windows 7 needed just under 3 minutes. I have almost all available on the Internet tips and tricks tried to speed up the boot time, but was able to tease out just a few seconds.
So I slammed on the Samsung SSD ...
This was not exactly cheap, but it's worth every penny.
Boot time with Samsung SSD 34 seconds!
The only drawback: I have to move the existing Windows 7 on the SSD with the included software not managed. (Perhaps I have also made a mistake somewhere.) But was not bad, even the reinstallation went incl. All the drivers in less than half an hour on the stage.
The following values I measured with AS SSD Benchmark:
USB 2.0: Reading: 29,10 MB / s - Write: 23.56 MB / s
USB 3.0: Reading: 53,30 MB / s - Write: 48.10 MB / s
SATA: Read: 103.26 MB / s - Write: 90.38 MS / s
SSD: Read: 501.66 MB / s - Write: 398.64 MB / s
Absolute top class!
I think the SSD actually offers only advantages:
+ Arrow Fast
+ Extremely quiet (If the HDD or DVDROM notebook not working, there is absolute silence)
+ Very simple installation of the SSD (My notebook has recognized the SSD and immediately all settings adjusted (BIOS & Windows7)
Of course I can not say anything after such a short time on the shelf. And if the SSD is energy efficient or not, I have also not verified.
Conclusion:
The SSD I would buy again.
Had I already come earlier on the SSD, I would have had me likely to buy a new notebook.
My former Vista laptop has donated since kurzemm also a SSD and Windows 7 and get boots now in 48 seconds!
