I've been using for many years the Rugged hard drives from LaCie with various MacBook Pro models and am very convinced of their quality. They all run very stable, whether small (250 GB) or large (500/1000 GB). I like to take advice especially the "bus power" that allows the plates directly from the computer with power. Who should use a lot of records to think about it to make them recognizable in color (the LaCie Cover provides an extra in a set consisting of three different colors). The newer models are all equipped with only eye Firewire 800, which I think is not so great, but I do not like yes in Apple already. What it is, it's all even more disks to cascade in a row!
