We have this grid (with 1 extension) now for several weeks in use. The installation worked fairly well, although the manual was missing this in the package (but this lies with the QR-code on the packaging easily download). So far, it does a good and stable impression. Although our 9-month-old son pulls up to it and holds it firmly seated and nothing wobbles. The locking mechanism is easy to open with one hand. Simple push works for us not, the door must be closed on the locking mechanism back. The only slight downside for me are the glue dots that are to be attached to the lateral terminal points additionally. Since the grid during installation was not completely parallel to the stairs, I had still a little readjustment. Here, a larger piece of wallpaper has been replaced with. When in doubt, so you have after dismantling of the grid major damage to the wall by detached wallpaper as through a grid for drilling in which you only see 2 small holes ...
Update after 6 months: The grid is still absolutely stable and keeps well is a 15-month-old child was impeccable. Through daily use "slip" the grid over the weeks to a few millimeters, but this is no security risk! Just quickly loosen the screws, re-align and tighten the screws - done. I would buy this grid at any time, however, the stated reasons no longer apply the adhesive dots (the suggested felt pads should fulfill its purpose as well).
