But for me was just a reason to buy. I liked finally have a shoe whose sole is not adopted within 6 months. The experience with the brand Camel has told me that I would buy a high-quality and durable shoe here - and that seems to have also been confirmed.
The surface material is leather and the inside is a Goretex fabric cover. The shoe is quite stiff when shipped and must be broken in a few days / weeks only. During this time, the footbed and the other Schuhmateriel the carrier adjusts - which is in this type shoe completely normal (I have both Caterpillar and Dockers-work shoes so experienced).
The laces are apparently awake coated and quite stiff. Therefore, the lacing opens during the first days quite like and should be checked regularly. That sets also after a short time - and me are water-repellent and tear-proof laces rather than immediate comfort.
The shoe surface is susceptible to scratching and if one is not on the "worn-out" look of the shoe should be maintained in accordance with shoe polish (no spray - simple colored beeswax use) to keep the optics. I do this usually weekly - but can certainly happen rarely. The important thing is that the shoes are ever properly maintained.
I buy shoes very unwillingly and try as little as possible to spend on this. My latest acquisition were two shoes from a discount store (for less than half the price), but the start to disintegrate in less than 3 months now (sole dissolves from the shoe material has cracks). That was a wrong decision bottom line economically - sometimes a little more money is worth just yet.
Update from 2.2.11:
- The first sentence laces torn by /; Camel itself there after researching any spare laces - but more than enough Internet provider. Length is 80 to 85cm. I bought a large pack nylon laces in medium brown.
- Buy shoe prefer a half size too small, the entire shoe "is greater" in the first few weeks; with me the shoe is now actually a tad too big though initially 100% fit.
Updated on 07/21/11:
I want to refuel again. The surface has in the meantime a few scratches because I wore the shoes in renovations * my * fault - but can be made with shoe polish again almost invisible. Otherwise, on the shoe _nichts_ tuned. All fixed yet, sole fully functional. So - what I call quality, almost a year old and nothing in it, what would have been my fault. The second set of laces keeps the way still. Pointing to the "is greater than" I want to emphasize again - that's really sad, I must put on very thick socks always, otherwise "fluttered" the shoe. But I'll just buy because of the high quality that shoe again - in a little smaller.
