After I have in between times tested an iron with ceramic sole and only two steam stages, I am back with a Rowenta with finely tuned steam regulation in several small steps and especially stainless steel sole gelandet.Diese were two points that the most important criteria when purchasing and my decision was right. Stainless steel slides more easily through the wash and is much more stable. Although ceramics may be (relatively) scratch resistant as it is claimed by manufacturers, but can flake off, as tests have shown. I already had an iron with non-stick coating. never again !! There is nothing like the good old stainless steel soleplate. The soleplate should like to be slightly longer back. The steam regulation works perfectly. The fabric coated cable is nice and long and has a ball joint and a clip to attach the cable end when rolling. Of steam and spraying work well. The white casing is unfortunately matte, instead of high gloss. The dark pink (looks like blackberry yogurt) is glossy and not really my taste. But I do so also only iron and it does it well. What annoyed me is "Made in China".
